My Fat Cells and Winter

I finally packed up my summer clothes and prepared the heavy winter outfits. The weather here is just becoming chilly and whenever I go out, I can see people wearing leather jackets once again. This to me is a signal that I need to say TTFN ( tata for now) to my very casual slippers, sleeveless and the rest of my sunnier clothes. Incidentally, I also noticed that I am gaining weight. I've been eating lots of junk food recently because I was too lazy to cook and wash the dishes. I felt that my hands were getting dry from the very hot water I tend to use when washing. This is not good news. The weather doesn't help at all. I feel lethargic and lazy going out when I know that my face will be feeling the chill of winter. I couldn't even go to yoga class since I did not want to walk and freeze!

I decided to do a plan just so I wouldn't allow my fat cells to sleep and be stored as another adipose tissue. I needed to exercise more! Tennis was not an option since it started to rain the past days. Then I decided to go and continue my gym sessions but I got bored doing the same routine. While I was in the gym,I realized that the solution to my plan was actually right in front of me ---> Indoor Swimming! Yes, I have been trying to relieve my summer doing a couple of lapse in the heated pool for a week now. Then I go straight to the sauna just to feel the heat that I miss the most. (I'm such an island girl!)

I think I have found a way to awaken my fat cells in this sleepy winter months ahead. Now I just hope these little cheeky cells will cooperate and work its way out. Well, I guess that means I should start cooking again and stop eating all the junkies. Alright, I'm going back to my brocollis this weekend.

Have a good one y'all!

Hehe, lumalamig na rin pala diyan sa Istanbul (?). Here in Buffalo, matagal ng malamig. It averages around 8 degrees Celsius during the day, pero wala pa namang snow.

Speaking of missing the heat, ganun din dito. Nakakatawa nga, kasi when I was still in Manila, inis na inis ako sa init. Pero dito naman, na-mi-miss ko ang init. Humans are really hard-to-satisfy creatures.

By the way, hope you don't mind me linking your blog?

cold weather can really make you lazy. when it's too cold in the morning, you just want to lay in bed and sleep more. it's hard to rise up and go to work.

Indoor swimming in a heated pool and sauna afterwards? Yes, I think that ought to kick those fat cells out of commission. Remember, the golden rule: the calories you burn will not transform into fat.

hey girlfriend, you just gave me some good tips - have to continue my yoga, or some walking/jogging, eating the right foodand the word of today is just "burn" - - - or else my adipose tissues start piling over - dieva kadiri!

Ok, forget I said 'take me there' dahil I hate winter months. The best winter ata is in HK pero malamig pa din.

Pero masarap mag BBQ sa Deep Water Bay.

Have great weekend Princess.

Here in Riyadh, the weather is still good but it is getting there in few more days. Kanina meron ng sand storm. That means winter is coming.

Siguro dapat mag tae-bo ka o kaya shadow boxing. Maganda pang burn ng fat ito at pwede sa loob ng bahay mo.

Good luck sa cooking mo.

jhaya- exactly! it's scary to see unwanted bulges here and there, right? go stretch yourself.

Namastei...

ana- in the place where I go for my swim and sauna, they also have hamam. I've been pbserving what they do for the past days (para naman di ako mashadong matakot pag ginawa ko). After a lot of prepping up and research, I've decided to do the hamam on husband's day off this week para sabay kami ( kahit separate yung hamam place).

BTW, I saw a glimpse of what tehy do. The lather you up in soap! As in parang cocoon of soap! lol

Fat? You're not fat! Not even nearly chubby -- you'd have to pile on as many pounds as a kid in kindergarten weighs in order to be considered mildly pudgy. I bet even your fingers aren't fat! That's why you always feel cold -- you have no blubber to heat up your (not fat) body. :)

I get scared when I feel lethargic and heavy especially during winter. I don't want to look like a snowball!

Hi, Duke!

Malamig na rin pala dyan. Dito rin. Pero I still wear my summer clothes. Pero nag-jajacket na rin.

I'm gaining weight na rin...kain nang kain ng chocolates.

Do you have plans to go to the public bath still? Curious talaga ako doon. :-)
