No More Casino For Me!

I'm not a gambler. I hate taking risks especially financial ones. My long time friends always remember me as the square girl. It is only in recent years that I've become more "relaxed" with my risk taking ability.

My husband got a CD mailed by William Hill. It's a disc that opened the doors to online casino gambling for us. At first I was watching the games and playing some of the with my husband. We were winning! I was beginning to love it.

Then I had this idea of surprising my husband with more winnings so I went on and gambled online yesterday afternoon.Three-card Poker and Carribean Stud were my games. I won a couple of hundred dollars but due to my greediness and lack of control, I ended losing two thirds of what I won.

With that. I had my taste of fire and now I know better that it burns. I hated how I felt and I knew if I carried on I would have felt worse in the end.

No more casino for me. Thank you.

gambling always makes me feel a bit uneasy. like there's a devil and an angel over each shoulder, you know? and knowing myself, i always tend to listen to the devil, so as long as i stay the hell away from it, then i know im fine ;-)

Kala I exactly know how you feel. I tried to listen to the angel in me but I just had to succumb to temptation.
My best solution so far is to stay away from gambling.

I wont deny it but I do love gambling. That is why it is always smart to leave your ATM and Credit Cards at home while you are in your trip to Vegas. Just to make sure you would be sane when you get home. Gambling is nothing that you should regret. The thrill of winning and the pain of loosing are the emotions that gets you hooked on the game. Not to mention the fact that you are getting wiser or dumber the next round.

This is also one of my major spammer who washed away my bandwith limit in my 'old' blog. I find it strangely funny that you actually indulged online, sure it's nice but it's nothing but dull and boring waste of time and money.

My only vice is buying the Mark Six lottery. Glad you 'called it quits'.

Gambling becomes more exciting when you're winning. And then you tend to desire for more which in the long run becomes an addiction. When you lose, you gamble more thinking your good fortune will come in time and you are more eager to get your money back.

I know you're not the type of person who will gamble like crazy. It's good that you know when to stop.

hi duke,

please be careful... gambling can be addicting... its easy money if you win... but it could bring you to bankruptcy if you dont know how to control it.

Games in casinos are designed in such a way that in the long run, gamblers lose and the house wins. If you're a serius gambler, you should go for cards because while it's a game of chance, strategy plays an important role in winning. Well, playing online was an experience, wasn't it?

Hi, Casino is 500 meters away from where i live. I was like you with square philsophy. But still i have had an experience with it so it is difficult to judge people now, now that i have lived with it.
I will not say no more for me, but i have to learn to be reasonable.Go out with some friend sometime.
