Movies

It's been cold and dreary the past few days here. My husband and I decided to catch up on cuddling and put a notch up on our movie/DVD time. We go bitten by the Star Wars Bug and just watched the whole series (Episode I-VI). This is my fifth time to watch Star Wars and still, I watch it like the first time. Still excited with every scene and amazed by the power of the force.

Speaking of StarWars, Revenge of the Sith is the top grossing movie of 2005 in the US. 'Want to know the top ten? Go here.

The All Time International and Worldwide top grosser is Titanic followed by LOTR, Return of the King.

During this holiday season, if you plan to buy or rent out dvds, this list and this one is a good start. Better yet, you can just go here for a comprehensive list.

Oh, and by the way, If you haven't seen The Notebook, do get hold of a copy. You might end up shedding a tear or two... It's better to watch this with someone you can hold hands with.

Ok,I'm going back to my dvd watching and pseudo christmas shopping... ttfn ( tata for now)!

hi Duke,

My hubby and son watched the 6 episodes of Star Wars too last month... and since then, my son have been "hyper" again in school, talking about the movie all the time that the teacher had to call my attention to it... hehehe...

Merry Christmas!

How about some tagalog movies? I know wala kayong VCD diyan - pero sa WorldWide meron (pirated nga lang).

I guess about time to have a blog-free week for me starting bukas. So if I won't be "seeing you", Merry Xmas & a Prosperous New Year.

Hi Duke,
Nasa Istanbul din ako. Walang pasko sa Turkey, at sobrang lamig. Nakaka-depress. Panay din ang panood ko ng dvd, kasi sa TV kakaunti lang ang english channels unless you get digiturk. And pag gusto mo naman manood ng sine, kailangan alamin mo aling movie theater ang nag-shoshow ng original version kasi they dub it to Turkish. Dito sa side namin, di pa rin natutunaw yung snow from this monday (dec 19). Kakainis.. hindi pa rin ako hiyang sa lamig kahat matagal nako dito.

I heard Richard Quest over CNN last night reporting that snow is falling in your place at a rate of 5 cms per hour. WHOA! That is much! I guess visibility is very poor. I wish you warmth, Duke.

You may also want to watch Audrey Tautou's Un Long Dimanche de Fiançailles this winter. Great, great movie, Duke.

I wish you a warm, warm Christmas and an exciting new year!!!
