This is the precursor to the shopping malls we have nowadays but here in Istanbul, it is stil existent together with the commercial malls. They have ar ound 4000 shops inside this bazaar. Normally, they are divided into wings or hall area where you can buy from carpets, kilims, traditional Turkish cups and teas, turkish delights, women and men's apparel, not to for get the children'straditional clothing and of course the JEWELLRY! They just have the widest range.. the shop owners would even invite you for a cup of tea while you look for the right stones to match your mood :) of course me.. I loved the tea but just looked at those jewellry ...hihihihi what a cheapskate!
sarap naman! window shopping na lang, may free tea pa. siguro kapag dito mo sa pilipinas ginawa yon, lugi ang mga shop owners kasi pupunta lahat sa store mo for tea tapos nobody will buy anything naman. :-D
nikki...
oo nga! I can't imagine a vendor in the Philippines offering you tea everytime you visit and just windw shop at her store. Here they just invite you like neighbors for a cup of tea.
sha.. yuo should also visit me here dear.. i am just a train away or better yet your yacht can pass by here.
di rin ako mashado into carpets.. mahal! at allergic ako sa maliliit na paticles nito ( feeling dugong bughaw!di naman ka afford ng kilim! lol)
Wow! sounds like Greenhills during Xmas time...ah the super duper cheap prices...
patrice.. yeah the grand bazaar reminds me of greenhills so much.. wala lang free tea.. hihihihi
naks, sarap nga mag window shopping pag ganyan..soldes na dito, hay naku, they even go down to 70% off in some shops, nakaka ingganyo...have to force myself to shop some buntis stuffs kasi..and baby stuffs na rin ;)
hay SOLDES, SALES, INDIRIM are magic words for me!I am sucker for mga 50 % etc. The highe the percentage ng OFF The better .. hihihi.. It's the best time nga to buy buntis stuff! They really have this cool maternity trousers over sold there where you can adjust it accdng to the size of your tummy! stylish pa ng dating! I thikn they sell it in ZARA.enjoy the shopping!
